His hands over mine—
He ensures I rub the oil into my feet and legs
with intention and gentle pressure.
“Grounding,”
He says—
“can be pleasurable.”
I smell like honey, sweet.
Relaxation seeps in, emotions deep.
Lain out in bed—
wonder flutters in my chest.
No more tension.
I open wider, His flower—
I blossom for Him.
I bring my hands up over my face,
covering my eyes against distraction
from this moment.
His hands glide over mine,
coarse yet softened, warmed by His inner flame.
The scent of florals turned to gold
becomes more intense in the heat we make.
I feel Him.
His words drizzle over me—
“Breathe more deeply, please.”
I do as He tells me, expanding, releasing
meaningfully.
Honey straws fill my mind—
a child again, snacking on nature’s sunshine.
I feel safe, loved, and held by His direction and care.
“Grounding involves the senses,” He tells me.
“There are no rules against it being sensual.”
My heart once shut begins to open again.
I want to stay here with Him always.
His love seeps like honey wine,
intoxicating.
“The musk of you grounds me.”
He speaks, flame over coal,
burns His sacrament into my soul.
He lifts my heart to His heart, effortlessly.
My back arches to meet His chest.
He is the fire in my belly,
the loosening of my chastity,
the soft moan that escapes my throat like prayer.
“Don’t turn your eyes away from mine.”
My head had moved to the side—
I feel powerfully vulnerable to look at Him at all.
Unbearably exposed.
He sees the parts of me I deem good and bad.
Intimacy takes on new meaning.
“Where’d you go?” He asks, catching me—
cutting me off from lying.
I’d wanted to turn away from the humility I feel before my God—
the shame of not being worthy,
a bondage of my own making.
I learn that ego can turn inward
and become beliefs of being unworthy of love.
His kiss covers my lips as He leans into me:
“I want you wholly, completely, disheveled and glowing.
I always have wanted you. I always will want you.
You are shaped mine.
I’ll show you.
Let me.”
