As a child I loved Touched by an Angel. Tess felt so warm and wise to me, almost like a grandmother. I also adored Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I loved her remedies and the way she dressed. When I started kindergarten I even wore a skirt like hers with a white blouse and boots, and I always wanted my hair braided. Watching TV with my mom and siblings was special. Those evenings felt calm and safe, a time when we were all together.
