Stars at Full Tilt

I let You in—
cooling me,
lighting me on fire.

Star-dancing.

My heart and Your heart collide.

By design,
I fall fast into Your arms,
like I’m meant to.

A child without You
feels lonely and forlorn—
lost,
until swept up
to press an innocent kiss
against heaven’s lips.

Veil of darkness—only a shroud
over what really is.

I don’t care about winning.
I care about showing up
and trying.

I don’t know about competing.
But I know
I love the feeling
of community surrounding me.

Awards come and go,
but the memories color my mind beautiful—
and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Race me!
Let’s see who can run fast.

If I win You,
I win Your heart—
and that’s all that really matters to me.

Giving my heart to Yours
is joy.

The blocks
can be steps—
up and out.

I take my blocks
and build something new:
a ladder
back to self.
